Things that Z Monkey is known to say…
She’s learning about mammals in kindergarten. Yesterday she asked me if daddy was still a mammal even though he doesn’t have any hair.
My flat iron broke the other day, so I was telling Z that I was bummed out about it. She said in the most sympathetic voice, “I understand mom, it’s hard to lose a good flat iron.” (6 years)
The Devil made her do it - at 5 when caught doing something wrong she exclaimed that she did it because her guardian angel was too busy talking to Jesus to tell her the right thing to do.
Hypothesis – at 5 she said to me, “mom, I have a hypothesis…I think the dinosaurs became extinct because of a meteor.”
Transparent / Opaque – at around 2 1/2 she has been known to use these terms frequently and correctly. She’s also good with “sub-terranian”

The Smack Down – At about 2 1/2, miss Z informed us that if anyone bothered her, she was going to “put the smack down on them”. She was referring to Darth Maul at the time, who bothered her while she was trying to sleep by “jumping all around the room”.
