Rockin’ Iz
Iz has just started rockin’ out when she hears music. Add that to her Beyonce move and she’s got quite the repertoire. She’s also working hard on honing her walking skills. She hasn’t taken off on her own yet, but she loves to go for long walks while holding your fingers or pushing her hippo walking toy. This whole walking thing will be a lot better when she quits stopping every 2 minutes to squat down and pick up something to put in her mouth. She’s a good eater and has just starting drinking regular milk. She still doesn’t say much, but I definitely recognize “mama” when I hear it, which is most of the time.
Izzy Update – 8 months
Iz weighed in at 15 lbs today! She went to the doctor and got two shots and didn’t even cry…they were very impressed. She’s been working on her crawling skills for about a week now and is pretty mobile. She’s also getting her two top teeth in, so we’re all about new foods. She loves bagels, cheerios and avocados….mmmm!
Big Red Car
Izzy loves her big red car. She’s been spending her time rolling around, sitting up and cutting a couple of sharp little teeth!
Halloween 2009
Z dressed up as a “Vampiress”–whatever that is. Iz was a pumpkin. They both stayed up waaay too late and we all had waaay to much candy. Click here for the pics on picasa.
More Milestones
Iz smiles and laughs a lot now…especially at her big sis. She’s recently started grabbing things with both hands and holding on to them (on purpose)! She’s also trying hard to roll over from her back to her stomach (no more leaving her on the couch!)
Lions and Tigers and Build-A-Bears
Z is all about Build-A-Bears. She loves them for herself and she loves buying them for other people. Yesterday, she told me she wanted to buy Poppa a Build-A-Bear and give it to the mailman so that when he dies he can deliver it to dad in heaven (poor mailman!). Thanks to Grandpa Art and Grammy Sue for sending over a new BAB outfit and front pack so Z can carry her BAB wherever she goes. They also sent this adorable mini BAB for Iz. So cute!!!
The girls love books
Big sis loves reading stories to Izzy. As you can see, Iz is clearly engaged in the story. Many thanks to my boss for sending these great books. Boytons are some of my favorite stories to read them at bedtime.
